Human papillomavirus, or HPV, is responsible for all warts. Only a handful of the more than 100 types of this virus actually cause warts. It’s difficult to avoid the virus, as it can be found on everything, including floors, doors handles, desks, towels and floors. They can live on your skin for upto a year before developing a wart. It is difficult to pinpoint how or where the warts came from.
Warts are spread through touching, so you should never touch a wart you see on someone else. Warts can also be spread from one area to another.
Warts can appear anywhere on the body. They can be transmitted through casual contact. Most likely they will occur on your hands, feet, and fingers.
Continue reading to find out about the warts that can appear on your face.
What are the types of warts you can get on your face?
Warts are small bumps which feel rough and hard to the touch. They can be grayish, brownish, black or pink in color. They are not a form of cancer and don’t hurt.
The virus that causes warts can be more dangerous to skin with cuts, nicks, and/or chafing. Two types of common warts can occur on the skin:
Flat warts often occur on the forehead and cheeks. These tiny warts are approximately the same size as a poppy seed. These tiny dots can appear in large numbers, giving them the appearance of many small dots. They come in a variety of colors, from pink to yellowish brown to flesh-toned.
Flat warts look slightly more polished than other types and are generally smoother. Flat warts are sometimes referred to as juvenile warts because children are more likely to get them than adults.
Filiform warts look different from all other types of warts. They stick out from the skin and have a bristly, spiky appearance. They can appear flesh-toned or pinker than the surrounding skin. Filiform warts can be found around the eyes, nose and mouth. They can be irritating or itching if they are found in the eye creases or any other skin fold.
Remove warts from your face
Although there is no cure for warts unfortunately, there are many methods that can be used to reduce their spread and appearance. Although they can be treated, warts may not heal on their own. It could take up to two years to clear them. Children’s warts tend to heal faster than those in adults.
You can let the wart heal naturally by not touching it. You could spread the virus to other areas of your body and to people. Warts can recur even after they are gone.
The type of wart that you have may play a part in determining the type of treatment. There are many professional and at-home options that can be used to remove warts from the hands and face. If you have multiple warts, or if they are bothersome, consult a doctor. If your warts persist or spread, you should seek medical attention.
Home remedies for treating facial warts
Because warts are sensitive, it is important to consult a doctor before trying to remove them at your home. The doctor may be able to give you guidance and possibly prescribe a home treatment.
A wart that is located near your eye or nose should not be treated at home. Some treatments, such as salicylic acid, should never be used on your face or neck as they can burn sensitive skin.
You should use any at-home remedy with extreme caution. Talk to your doctor before you do.
There are a few natural ways to get rid of warts:
- Garlic extract – Allium sativum is a compound that has antiviral properties. Garlic contains garlic. Use a garlic clove to crush and then apply the crushed pieces of garlic to the wart. Tape or bandage the wart and cover it daily.Notice:Garlic can cause chemical burns to the skin. Garlic can cause skin irritations such as burning, itching, and tingling.
- Lemon juice – Citric acid in lemon juice may help to kill the virus. Do not use lemon juice at its full strength on your face. Use a small amount of lemon juice on your face. A mixture of water and lemon juice was found to be effective in removing flatwarts after being used for six weeks.
- Pineapple juice – Although there is no scientific evidence to support this, some people have found that the anecdotal treatment may be effective in eliminating facial warts. The enzymes in pineapple juice may cause the wart to disappear if it is applied every day for several weeks. For several weeks, apply pineapple juice directly to the wart with a cotton swab before you go to bed at night.
- Sand paper and Duct tape – Keep your wart covered for several weeks, up to the point that it becomes smaller. To remove the outer layer, rub the wart with sandpaper until it is white and soft. Next, remove the duct tape. Repeat this process for several weeks.
Going to a Doctor to get your facial warts removed
- Cantharidin – Cantharidin, a chemical that causes blistering and chemical burns, is used. Cantharidin, or a combination of this chemical and other ingredients, may be used by your doctor to cover the wart. This will cause a blister to form underneath it. The wart can then be removed by your doctor. This treatment may cause discomfort and not be suitable for all.
- – Your doctor may inject liquid nitrogen into the wart and freeze it several times, sometimes over a period of two to three week.
- Surgical removal – This is a common technique to remove filiform warfarets. The doctor will use a scalpel or razor to remove the wart. Sometimes, more than one treatment may be required.
- The curettage and electrosurgery – This combination combines the burning of wart through Electrocauterization scraping it off. Both of these techniques can be combined or used as a single treatment.
Common Symptoms of Dehydration
Are you suffering from headaches, fatigue, dry mouth, lightheadedness, or confusion? Believe it or not, you could be suffering from dehydration!
No matter what the temperature is outside, being outdoors for long periods of time can take a serious toll on your immune system. Your immune system gives you the ability to defend yourself against possible harm, this includes climate change.
Check out our guide to learn the most common symptoms of dehydration and the signs you need to watch out for.
Feeling Thirsty and Lightheaded
Dehydration can cause several symptoms, with feeling thirsty and lightheaded being two of the most common. Thirst is the earliest warning sign of dehydration, and lightheadedness often follows. When your body is deprived of water, it begins to experience a decrease in the production of blood plasma, meaning there is less liquid flowing to the brain and other vital organs.
This can result in decreased concentration and mental clarity, fatigue, headaches, muscle cramps, and an overall feeling of dizziness.
If dehydration is not addressed, it can lead to fainting and loss of consciousness, which is why it is important to recognize symptoms early and resolve the dehydration as soon as possible.
A Dry Mouth
A dry mouth is one of the most common symptoms of dehydration. It can occur for a variety of reasons, such as insufficient fluid intake, excessive sweating, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Other less common causes of dehydration include drinking alcohol or caffeine, fever, and certain medications. In some cases, even a virus can lead to dehydration. In this case, you can use electrolyte strips to help the body maintain a fluid balance.
Dehydration can cause extreme fatigue or tiredness. Dehydration is a feeling of exhaustion and a lack of energy. Tiredness can range from mild to feeling like you have not slept at all.
If you are feeling fatigued or exhausted, take a moment to recognize if dehydration is the cause.
Having Dark-Colored, Strong-Smelling Urine
When the body loses water and salt, urine will be more concentrated, which gives it a darker color and a stronger smell. This can also happen if there is a decrease in the amount of water in the diet or if a person is taking certain medications.
Dehydration can also lead to other problems, such as dizziness, nausea, and fatigue. It is important to drink plenty of fluids, especially water, and to watch for signs of dehydration. It is also important to visit a doctor if the dehydration persists.
Passing Urine Less Often Than Usual
Passing urine less often than usual can be indicative of several medical conditions, including dehydration, kidney disease, or diabetes. The presence of excessive amounts of protein in the urine or systemic vasculitis can also be a causal factor.
If not managed properly and timely, these conditions can cause kidney failure or an abnormally high urine concentration. A change in urine volume can signal the disease and should be monitored promptly.
Explore the Symptoms of Dehydration
Dehydration is a serious medical condition that affects many people. This is why it is important to be aware of the signs and symptoms of dehydration. Take the time to ensure your body has the proper hydration it needs to stay healthy.
If you think you may be dealing with dehydration, talk to your doctor as soon as possible. Don’t wait to act now and protect your health.

Is Botox the Right Choice for You?
Although aging is a part of life, it isn’t always easy to see more wrinkles forming across your face. It can sometimes be hard to accept these physical signs that you’re another year older, particularly if you still feel young at heart. You might also feel self-conscious about your appearance and long to feel more confident when it comes to your looks. While it is important to feel comfortable with who you are and your age, if these issues bother you a lot, it could be worth looking at how you can reduce the appearance of aging. Botox has been a popular choice for a long time with people who are trying to make themselves look younger, but is it right for you? Below are some key considerations you need to make before you decide to move forward with this cosmetic procedure.
1. What Exactly Is Botox?
If you’re going to have something injected into your body, you need to make sure you understand what it is first. The botulinum toxin (Botox) is produced by the bacterium clostridium botulinum. These injections are designed to relax the muscles in your face, achieving a smoother surface and the reduced appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It does this by blocking the nerve signals that cause your muscles to contract. It can take a few days for you to see the effects of your Botox injections.
2. What Are the Risks?
As with any cosmetic or medical procedure, there are some risks that you should be aware of before getting this treatment. Some people might experience headaches after treatment, and you might also see some bruising and swelling in the affected areas. Other side effects include drooping in your face as the muscles are weakened, and you might notice that your face feels or looks frozen – this can happen after too much Botox has been used.
3. Does It Last?
Botox will not be a permanent fix, but it can last up to three or four months. You don’t have to go back for repeated treatments if it isn’t right for you, but if you do want to keep up the same appearance, it will require you to return for these injections throughout the year. This is something to think about, as you might not want to invest that kind of money regularly or make time for these appointments. Other treatment options to reduce wrinkles and fine lines may be a better choice for you in this case.
4. Where to Get Botox
You might have seen a lot of images of botched Botox, and this can be very off-putting. While some people might have more severe side effects, one of the biggest reasons Botox can go wrong is that it hasn’t been administered properly. This can both produce undesired results as well as pose a dangerous health risk. This is why it is very important to make sure you are getting your Botox from a certified clinician. Places like this medical spa for Botox Chicago are good examples of where you can get this treatment safely. When you go in for your consultation, ask to see their credentials and do some further research to make sure you are in good hands.
5. How Much Does It Cost?
As with a lot of cosmetic procedures, Botox can be expensive. The price you pay will depend on what your clinic of choice charges and which areas you want to focus on. You can expect to see starting rates of Botox at around $100, but it can cost up to $5000. Again, this will depend on how much Botox you want and where you want to have your treatments (it’s not just for the face!), so think carefully about your budget and how much you are willing to spend on cosmetic treatments like this.
There are other options you can explore if you want to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, including some lifestyle changes that might be beneficial to you. Botox can certainly help with this, and you might find with some further research that this is the ideal option for you. However, do make sure you are taking the time to carefully consider this or any other cosmetic procedure. You should also think about whether or not you have any health conditions that could make you an unsuitable candidate for this, and you can discuss that with your consultant before you commit to getting Botox.
